Our roots started out of a garage in the 1980s that led to a showroom in downtown Hudson for many years. There we built our reputation for quality products and installation with friendly small-town customer service. Behind that customer service was family. Diana and Walt, hence the D & W, were the original husband and wife owners. A sister and eventually a nephew as an installer came to join the team.
In 2010, as retirement was in the plans for Diana and Walt, the business was sold to the nephew installer, Cory. As the current owner, he has valuable installation knowledge that sets D & W apart when giving estimates and helping you choose the best flooring for your home or business.
Since then we have had continued growth, but with location and space constraints it was looking like it was time to find D & W a new home. After what seemed like a far-out idea to build a new store at a new location, we took the leap and purchased the land. We designed a 10,000sq.ft. building with a showroom and an attached warehouse that enables us to better oversee our orders coming in and out. Which puts us at where we are today!
We opened at our new location in March 2018 and loved it ever since. Our location allows for more site traffic and the larger showroom enables us to carry more products to better serve our customer needs. Our staff comes with design backgrounds that assist you in making the best color choices and combinations. We also still strive to provide quality installations with our subcontractors.
Moving forward, we hope to maintain our road of success and growth through all the business the Cedar Valley and surrounding areas have given us. Our goal is to continually carry current and quality products that keep us on leading-edge when providing floor covering.
